The field sales app is NextCRM on your phone, made for one hand and very little typing. Scan a business card or a QR code, or import a contact, choose the funnel once, add what was agreed, and the lead is in the right funnel with your note on its timeline.

Open it on your phone at /field, or tap Field app in the workspace menu on your phone. It uses your normal sign-in and your active workspace.

Install NextCRM Field

The field app installs as its own app, NextCRM Field, next to the main NextCRM app (which opens the full CRM). Install it from the field app page /field:

  • Android (Chrome, Edge): tap Install NextCRM Field in the field app (or Install in the browser menu while /field is open).
  • iPhone and iPad (Safari): open /field, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

NextCRM Field opens directly on the capture screen. Long-press its icon for the shortcuts Scan card and Scan QR. On Android you can also share a contact from your address book to NextCRM Field.

Choose where new leads go (trade-fair mode)

At the top of the home screen you see New leads go to. Tap it to choose:

  1. the funnel and stage for every new lead,
  2. the owner (default: you; Workspace Admins and Sales Managers can choose a colleague),
  3. an event tag, for example the name of the trade fair. It is added to every lead you capture.

These settings stay on your phone until you change them, so at a trade fair you set them once in the morning. You can still change them for a single contact on the review screen.

Tip: Without a funnel, new leads wait in the Lead Inbox. The same happens when your plan's active lead limit is reached; the app tells you after saving.

Scan a business card

  1. Tap Scan business card and hold the card inside the frame. Use the flashlight in poor light.
  2. Tap the shutter. Add the back side if it has more details, then tap Read this card.
  3. The AI reads name, company, job title, emails, phones, website, address and social profiles.
  4. Check the contact. Fields that were hard to read are highlighted in yellow with Check.
  5. Tap Save lead.

Reading a card uses AI credits like other AI features (or your workspace's own AI key). If the camera cannot be used, the app opens your camera app or photos instead.

Scan a QR code or import contacts

Scan QR code reads contact QR codes (vCard, MeCard), email and phone codes and links. A link is never opened: it is saved as the website and in the note.

Import contact takes contacts from your address book (Android Chrome) or from a contact file (.vcf, also exported from iPhone Contacts or Outlook). Several contacts at once are shown as a list: untick the ones you do not need and tap Save. Quick add opens an empty form.

Duplicates

While you check a contact, NextCRM looks for existing leads with the same email, the same phone number or the same name at the same company, also in the Trash. For each match you can:

  • Open the existing lead,
  • Add note here: your note (and follow-up task) is added to the existing lead instead of creating a new one,
  • or tick Create a new lead anyway.

Note what was agreed

Write in What was agreed? or tap the microphone and dictate in your language. The note is saved on the lead's timeline, marked Field app, with you as the author.

Lora reads your note and suggests a follow-up task, for example Send offer with the date you mentioned ("by Friday"). Tap the suggestion to accept it, change the title or date if needed, and the task is created with the lead.

Note: Dictation uses Lora voice: your workspace's own Google Gemini key or the NextCRM voice add-on. Without either, your phone's own dictation is used where available.

Working offline

Without a connection you keep capturing. Each contact is saved encrypted on your phone and sent automatically when you are back online. Recent captures shows the state of each one: Waiting to sync, Syncing, Synced, Failed (tap Retry) or Possible duplicate (tap Review). A contact is never created twice, even if the connection drops while saving.

Business cards photographed offline wait as Photo waiting to be read and are read as soon as you are online; then you confirm them with one tap.

Warning: Signing out deletes captures that are not synced yet from your phone. The app warns you first.

Privacy and card photos

Before the first capture the app shows a privacy notice. Only capture contacts who gave you their details for a business reason. By default card photos are deleted right after reading. Workspace Admins and Sales Managers can switch on Keep business card photos in the field app settings; the photo is then stored on the lead and deleted after the chosen retention period.
